Matthew shoots across all genres and media including features, music videos, commercials, documentaries, tv & web series, news magazine series and live events. Pretty much anything he can get a lens in front of.

His last feature, Shadow People, starring Dallas Roberts (The Walking Dead, The Good Wife) and directed by Matthew Arnold (Creator of Emerald City) is currently in rotation on Showtime. He also recently received a cinematography commendation for his work on the short film Just Ask…

Past features include The American Standards starring Golden Globe Winners James Brolin and Joanna Cassidy, Left In Darkness produced by Stephen J. Cannell (The A-Team), and CrazyLove starring Reiko Aylesworth (Hawaii 5-0, 24) and Bruno Campos (Royal Pains, Nip/Tuck). Matthew won Best Cinematography at the Fargo Film Festival for his work on Hard Scrambled.

He's shot music videos for a wide array of artists including Cilver, Steve Aoki & Rivers Cuomo, Black Stone Cherry, Green Day, Perry Farrell, Sammy Hagar, Nickelback and many more.


As a photographer, Matthew won Digital Photo Pro Magazine’s Emerging Pro Competition in the Fashion & Beauty category. He had a cover spread in Idem Magazine and a feature in Hartiska.

He has worked with the Billy Farrell Agency for New York Fashion Week, lensed Acura and Honda dealership spots for Jack Morton Worldwide and collaborated with EWI Worldwide on Kia. Other clients include Addiction NY, Remington, Portero, Lusciouss, Sunkitten Swimwear, B-Low The Belt and Glam Concierge. He has also done music cover art for a number of artists including Tiffany Giardina, Nick Peciaro, and Liza Colby Sound.


Matthew earned a BA in literature at the University of Michigan and an MFA from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts where he received the ASC’s John F. Seitz Award for Outstanding Cinematography as well as the Bush Memorial Scholarship for Cinematography.
